About This Grant:
Healthy Acadia will work with partners throughout Washington County to implement a cancer screening program in order to reduce incidence of cervical cancers, as well as to reduce morbidity and mortality related to cervical and lung cancers. We will implement evidence-based activities, including: 1) coordinating educational and media campaigns; 2 supporting primary care providers to implement best practices for screenings; and 3) assessing, planning and implementing additional policy, systems and environmental changes to improve access to, and quality of, cervical and lung cancer screenings for residents of Washington County.
