About This Grant:
With funding from Maine Cancer Foundation, IMPACT Melanoma will implement its Practice Safe Skin sunscreen dispenser program in several strategically-placed Maine locations, to include highly-trafficked public recreation areas (beaches, parks, ski resorts) as well as outdoor work sites (construction sites, public works departments, etc).
IMPACT will also provide sun safety education to Maine residents through its award-winning "Your Skin Is In" and "Skinny on Skin" programs. Our program goal is to increase sunscreen usage and public awareness of the dangers of ultraviolet exposure (including indoor tanning) among Maine residents over the course of the two-year grant.
