Improving Lung Cancer Mortality Through Increased Screening Capacity at MMC Cancer Institute

About This Grant:

The project will address immediate demand and improve access to lung cancer screening across our MaineHealth Cancer Care Network by increasing capacity and improving infrastructure. We propose to do this by adding a full time dedicated lung cancer screening patient navigator to our existing lung cancer screening program while refining the efficiency of our system thereby making room for outreach. These changes will enable us to sustainably screen an additional 1,440 patients annually.
