About This Grant:
The Integrated Care Team at Mount Desert Island Hospital (MDHI) frequently works on a one-on-one basis with individuals who smoke cigarettes, as they seek to reduce or eliminate their dependence on tobacco. However, smoking rates in Hancock County continue to be a concern. Through this grant, MDHI will access a new evidence-based training method which will result in a new Tobacco Treatment and Prevention Program. MDHI will conduct a pilot of this Program with two select constituencies: current Integrated Care Team clients and employees of MDHI.
