Early Detection at Work: MaineGeneral’s Prostate & Lung Cancer Screening Program

About This Grant:

MaineGeneral is proposing a one-year, workplace-based initiative to increase prostate and lung cancer screening rates among employees in Central Maine. Through on-site events with employer partners, we will provide at least 150 free (prostate-specific antigen) (PSA) tests, education on low-dose lung screening, and direct support to connect eligible individuals with screening services. This effort is designed to reduce barriers, promote early detection, and improve cancer outcomes for high-risk populations.
