About This Grant:
Through grant funding, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center will support transportation and lodging assistance for patients travelling from rural areas for cancer care. This pilot project aims to strengthen internal controls and build capacity among seven Northern Light Health member hospitals to provide coordinated transportation and lodging assistance to patients. This project will establish a better understanding of baseline patient assistance needs across the member hospitals, allow for more accurate budgeting processes, and provide a stable and accessible funding source for patient assistance needs across all of the participating member organizations.
