About This Grant:
York County Community Action Corp. will use the Cancer Care Hope Fund to provide flexible financial assistance to residents undergoing cancer treatment who are facing acute financial hardship. Treatment often leads to lost income, rising medical costs, and barriers to care, increasing the risk of housing instability, utility arrears, and food insecurity. The Fund will address these urgent gaps by covering essential expenses when other resources are unavailable, including housing, utilities, transportation (such as car repairs), and other needs impacting access to care. By stabilizing these immediate challenges, the Fund will help individuals maintain basic needs, adhere to treatment, and focus on recovery without escalating financial crisis.
