About This Grant:
Since its inception nearly 45 years ago, The Boston House has provided a home away from home for children from Maine who must travel to Boston for specialized cancer treatment. Frequently families must travel to Boston to receive protocols not available in Maine, such as state-of-the-art bone marrow transplants or participation in clinical trials. The Boston House is a 19th century Victorian home, three blocks away from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children's Hospital. The Boston House provides no-cost lodging to Maine children and their families while they are receiving cancer treatment.
