About This Grant:
Reaching More Moms, their Friends and Family increases supports for low-income pregnant women who smoke to make more quit attempts through the following strategies: 1) engaging pregnant and parenting moms, their friends and families to identify supportive messages, practices and other strategies to increase quit attempts and avoid being ‘preachy’, 2) increasing medical, behavioral health and social service provider use of evidence-based tobacco treatment and use of strength-based messages and 3) engaging and maintaining a statewide coalition of tobacco treatment and prevention advocates and experts, representatives of social service, behavioral health and medical providers, including moms, friends and family as possible.
