KBH Clubhouse Tobacco Cessation Initiative Needs Assessment

About This Grant:

Kennebec Behavioral Health manages four of the six Clubhouses that are located in the state of Maine – Capitol Clubhouse in Augusta; High Hopes Clubhouse in Waterville; Looking Ahead Clubhouse in Lewiston; and Village Clubhouse in Topsham. Clubhouses provide vocational rehabilitation to adults who live with severe and persistent mental illness. All Clubhouse across the globe (there are over 300) must be accredited by and follow the standards of Clubhouse International.

Among the services provided to Clubhouse members around employment, Clubhouses support their members in making healthy lifestyle choices to promote members’ overall health and wellness. This proposal would enable a team of Clubhouse staff and members to conduct an assessment within the Clubhouse community to identify what tobacco cessation program (or combination of programs) would have the biggest impact on the Clubhouse members’ journeys to become tobacco free
