About This Grant:
Friends in Action (FIA) was founded in 2003 for the specific purpose providing transportation and other services that enable older residents of Hancock County to remain independent and thrive as they age. FIA provides transportation to and from medical appointments and other necessary destinations for residents over the age of 60 and those with disabilities. These transportation services are provided without charge, thus eliminating the significant transportation barriers to effective health care.
