About This Grant:
The Maine Lung Cancer Coalition (MLCC) is a multi-institutional statewide effort to reduce the burden of lung cancer in Maine, with a focus on prevention, early detection, and stakeholder engagement and education. Coalition partners include health systems, advocacy organizations, state government, academic institutions, and professional associations.
This project will build on the existing networks of the MLCC to provide professional education about the new U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendations on lung cancer screening, including a primary care toolkit for lung cancer screening, and community education. The project will also contribute to the development of a lung cancer screening registry that will measure the impact of the intervention on screening uptake.
