About This Grant:
Maine Primary Care Association will purchase FIT test kits for nine Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to distribute to their low-to-average risk uninsured patient population. This proposed project will leverage a current grant to The Maine Primary Care Association from the Maine CDC to increase colorectal cancer screening rates in nine FQHCs whose rates fell below the Maine average of 60%. The Maine CDC grant has no funding for test kit purchase because these CRC screening tests are generally covered by insurance at 100%. The kits requested in this grant will be distributed only to those without insurance regardless of eligibility.
