Tobacco Treatment Groups and Support

About This Grant:

MaineHealth Care at Home will establish a tobacco treatment initiative with three central components:

1) Clinical training on assessment and treatment options that leverage the expert resources of the MaineHealth Center for Tobacco Independence (CTI) to develop clinical skills and expand access to services for home health and population health clients.

2) Develop a virtual tobacco treatment initiative that incorporates assessment, customized education, and educational videos that will be deployed on agency’s existing telehealth platform with pathways for virtual consultation and connection with nurses and CTI clinical advisors.

3) Establish tobacco treatment support groups at selected ConnectedCare Clinics through virtual connectivity to workshop facilitators/leaders co-hosted by MHCAH & CTI. Effort will involve clinic setup and the purchase of larger, more applicable tablets for the selected clinics.
