About This Grant:
The Compete Together Fund expands Time to Compete’s existing Maine patient-support program into a more responsive, ongoing model of basic-needs assistance for cancer patients ages 19–29.
Through an established healthcare referral network and a private electronic request form, eligible patients can request financial support for immediate needs such as groceries, gas, lodging, and other essential expenses at multiple points throughout their cancer journey. Previously, the program was limited to providing financial assistance at a single point in a patient’s treatment journey due to funding constraints.
This funding enables Time to Compete to respond as patients’ needs evolve while strengthening the sustainability and impact of its existing patient-support program.
