About This Grant:
This project will support the installation of three permanent shade sail structures in high-use outdoor areas at Camp CaPella to reduce harmful UV exposure for campers, staff, and volunteers. Many campers are unable to independently recognize or respond to sun exposure risks, placing them at increased vulnerability.
The new shade structures will create safer outdoor environments for recreation, waterfront access, outdoor dining, and programming.
