About This Grant:
Mid-Coast School of Technology (MCST) aims to reduce both the combustible tobacco and vaping use amount their student population uses through increased methods of detection in school bathrooms, where the majority of use takes place. MCST uses a reflective, supportive and restorative approach with students who are caught smoking on campus. This allows the student to learn about the damage smoking does to their body and help them create a plan to quit. The funds from this grant will allow MCST to be able to identify students who need help quitting tobacco and vaping products.
