About This Grant:
The Portland Community Free Clinic (PCFC) is launching a cancer screening initiative to increase screening rates, following the recommendations of the US Preventive Services Task Force and supported by the CDC. They serve uninsured individuals aged 18-64 who earn up to 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. Whenever possible, PCFC works with a network of providers to secure no-cost or low-cost services for patients needing care beyond their scope.
PCFC's tiered approach categorizes patients into Tier 1, 2, or 3 based on age, symptoms, social and environmental factors, family history, and time since their last recommended screenings. This ensures personalized care and maximizes the effectiveness of their screening effortss.
