Nourish Piscataquis: A Healthy Eating Initiative

This project will support Piscataquis Regional Food Center’s cancer prevention initiative to increase access to nutritious foods and build confidence in preparing healthy meals among rural residents experiencing food insecurity.

Through a pilot cohort program, participants will receive monthly healthy meal kits featuring fresh ingredients, recipe guidance, and nutrition education, along with optional mindfulness-based wellness activities. The program will promote healthier eating habits that may reduce cancer risk while addressing food access barriers common in rural Maine.
