About This Grant:
Hospitality Homes’ Medical Lodging Program provides free and low-cost lodging to families who cannot afford accommodations in Boston during medical treatment. In addition to lodging, the program addresses basic needs, offers supportive services, and provides transportation relief. Each year, we serve over 2,000 individuals, many from rural and underserved communities, through four types of lodging: volunteer host homes, donated apartments, discounted rentals, and hotel stays. Funding from the Maine Cancer Foundation will support guests traveling from Maine, who consistently represent the largest group we serve outside of Massachusetts, enabling them to access life-saving cancer care in Boston.
