Mano en Mano Community Health Advocate

Through this grant, Mano en Mano will continue providing culturally and linguistically relevant wellness programming focused on sun safety and obesity prevention, while also working to prevent cancer through education and activities that address health inequities. Support will ensure that both year-round and seasonal community members across rural Downeast Maine have access to educational resources, activities, transportation assistance, interpretation, and ongoing case management to overcome barriers to preventive and continuous care. This work will help community members access critical cancer prevention programs and education, increase participation in prevention activities, and improve overall health outcomes.
