About This Grant:
Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area (HVWA) addresses the needs of our clients with direct care services, bereavement support and community outreach. Direct Care is our longest running program at HVWA. Our trained volunteers provide compassionate non-medical care and support to our clients who are living at the end of life in a variety of ways. Additional programs offered include: anticipatory grief support, one on one volunteer support, and Tender Care volunteers who sit vigil with a client who is dying alone during the last 24 to 48 hours of life.
