About This Grant:
Funding from Maine Cancer Foundation will be used to purchase two colposcopes and train two nurse practitioners to perform colposcopies (cervical cancer screenings). There are currently only 2 providers able to perform colposcopies for Maine Family Planning’s approximately 27,000 patients. The funding will support the costs of equipment, colposcopy training, post-course mentorship certification requirements, and lost revenue costs incurred during these trainings.
