Community Immunity: A Collaborative Effort to Raise HPV Vaccinations Rates in Androscoggin County

With the support of this grant, Healthy Androscoggin aims to reduce cancer rates and increase HPV vaccinations by training healthcare providers on evidence-based interventions and educating target populations about cancer prevention. This will be achieved through a partnership with four healthcare practices under the Central Maine Healthcare umbrella, alongside guidance from Maine Community Integration, a trusted community-based organization with strong connections to immigrant populations. Healthy Androscoggin will raise awareness of HPV-related cancers and the benefits of vaccination in culturally competent ways that reflect best practices.
