About This Grant:
Cancer patients in Hancock and Washington Counties must travel long distances to get to the major treatment Center in Brewer. The Beth C. Wright Center through its financial assistance program eases the financial stresses of accessing cancer treatments for people living in Hancock and Washington Counties. The Center also helps people get to treatment by making referrals to Sarah’s House, a non-profit organization that offers overnight stays to people getting treatment in Brewer for just a small donation. The Beth Wright Center also has an arrangement with the Vacationland Inn where it is billed directly for cancer patients unable to take advantage of Sarah’s House accommodations.
