High quality cancer treatment and care is critical for the elimination of cancer as well as control of disease progression for individuals diagnosed with cancer. The Treatment Workgroup’s goal is to improve both access to and quality of cancer treatment services. Thus far, the workgroup has focused on increasing the number of American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Commission on Cancer (CoC) accredited facilities in Maine as well as increasing awareness of and participation in clinical trial opportunities.
Maine Cancer Foundation’s Treatment Workgroup meets by phone and in person to discuss cancer treatment topics, treatment best practice, as well as cancer care systems in Maine. Our workgroup members offer extensive experience as well as current knowledge about cancer treatment in Maine.
We invite participation from:
- Oncology healthcare providers
- Patient navigators
- Patient Advocates (Including Financial Navigators)
- Cancer Survivors
- Maine residents committed to reducing the burden of cancer in our State
