Matthew K. Libby
Matthew K. Libby, a native of Saco, Maine, earned his B.S. from Providence College in 2001, his M.B.A. from the University of Southern Maine in 2007, and his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 2012.
Matt graduated cum laude from Maine Law, where he served as a Comment and Case Note Editor on the Maine Law Review and as a teaching assistant in legal-writing, civil procedure, and criminal law. Matt is admitted to practice in all Maine state courts and the United States Federal Court for the District of Maine. His primary areas of practice are civil litigation and criminal defense.
Before entering graduate school, Matt spent four years playing professional hockey, including two years with the Portland Pirates. Matt is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is an active member of Mary’s Walk, a cancer fundraiser held each year in Saco, a big brother in the Big Brother Big Sisters Program of Southern Maine, and a youth hockey coach. Matt currently lives on Munjoy Hill in Portland.
