Alix joined Maine Cancer Foundation in early 2016. As the Community Development Coordinator, she strengthens communication and outreach strategies, and is responsible for data management and content marketing to support the Development Team.
Alix graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, and moved to Portland in June of 2013. She spent an extraordinary year as an AmeriCorps VISTA at LearningWorks, a nonprofit serving at-risk youth, the immigrant community, and low-income families. Upon completion of her AmeriCorps term, Alix became the Assistant Director of a residential halfway house in Portland's Parkside neighborhood. These two enriching experiences solidified her passions for communications and service work, and strengthened her bonds with communities of people around the state.
In her spare time Alix loves practicing yoga, dinner parties with friends, reading ten books at a time, and enjoying the beautiful Maine outdoors.
