Telehealth for Rural Cancer Patients
Community Health and Counseling Services (CHCS) will implement a telehealth program for its Washington County cancer patients receiving curative treatment or end-of-life hospice care. Telehealth technology will improve patient-centered care to these individuals by improving symptom control, pain and medication management through real time responsiveness to changes in condition as well as by promoting supportive contacts between patients and distant family/friends and physicians.
