About This Grant:
Caring Connections, a cooperative program of the Bangor Region YMCA and Eastern Maine Medical Center, will add a full-time Patient Navigator to expand our capabilities, providing greater outreach and navigation to women who qualify for our free breast and cervical screening program. The Patient Navigator will help us increase our ability to attend appointments and provide support to people with a cancer diagnosis, including those with cancers specific to men. The Patient Navigator will also enable our team to provide more sun safety and cancer risk reduction education to middle school and high school students and summer camp participants.
