Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

To provide patient support for economically disenfranchised, rural women with breast cancer and their families, offering comfort and educational information about options and resources available locally, statewide and nationally. Two techniques will be employed: 1) each woman diagnosed with breast cancer will receive a Cancer Resource Kit, 2) resources will be established at the new library at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Supplemental funding from Susan G. Komen Foundation, allied support from ACS, and Maine Breast Cancer Coalition. $5,000 (partial) for education resources.
