Adventure-based Support Program for Youth
On Belay orients trained facilitators to use adventure activities such as rock climbing and high ropes course work to create a metaphor for participants, teaching them that if they can find a way to overcome such challenges, they have the strength and perseverance to overcome anything. Since the age group is diverse, children are separated into peer groups for challenge activities. At each program, participants connect with other children facing similar challenges, think creatively, challenge themselves, support others, and learn to ask for help, all while building physical and emotional confidence.
