80% Colon Cancer Screening Project

About This Grant:

This project will implement multi component interventions to increase colon cancer screening rates as recommended by the CDC Community Guide. Winthrop Family Medicine, Augusta Family Medicine and Gardiner Family Practices in partnership with MaineGeneral's Prevention center will increase colon cancer screening rates in these 3 practices to 80% by implementing new practice workflows including the use of Community Health Workers who will address barriers to screening with patients.
