Mary Kerry Libby was well known for her friendly smile, gracious charm and kindness. A much-loved mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend, Mary lost her courageous battle with Burkitt’s Lymphoma on March 7, 1997 at the age of 44. The first Mary’s Walk was held on the Sunday before St. Patrick’s Day in March 1999.
The event has grown every year, and is now the biggest cancer walk in Maine. In 2013, Mary's Walk saw more than 3,680 registered participants.
Walking requires at $20 registration fee.
Running requires a $27.50 registration fee.
Children under 13 may participate for free!
No. Everyone is welcome to participate, but we strongly encourage people to try fundraising. You will be surprised how easy it is to raise $50 or 100 dollars just by asking friends and family.
It's up to you! The 5K race begins in front of the Kerrymen Pub and offers chip-timing. The Walk begins in front of Thornton Academy.
